Lifeline Accidental Counsellor Workshop
The consequences of increased work and life pressures on our staff can result in mental health, domestic violence, alcohol and drug abuse crises. These show up at our workplaces in employees who are anxious, disengaged, addicted or simply absent. There are good ethical (and commercial) reasons why we need to do more by identifying these issues at an early stage. The problem is we often don’t know how to help our colleagues. In fear of doing the wrong thing we do nothing at all!
The Lifeline Accidental Consellor Workshop is designed to remedy this. It equips your staff to:
RECOGNISE a Crisis
RESPOND with Compassion, and
REFER with Confidence
It’s like ‘CPR for the Soul’. By training your employees to become first responders to their workmates in crisis, you can help to provide better people care and reduce the considerable negative impact on your business.
HOW IT WORKS
The Lifeline Accidental Counsellor Workshop draws on the expertise of Lifeline’s proven crisis-handling skills. Lifeline handled over 1 million crisis calls in 2015 and we take those core skills and introduce them to you in a half-day workshop.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
The program should be considered essential learning for staff at every level of your business, from the boardroom to the canteen. The 4-hour workshop is run for up to 24 people. In addition to the specific teaching around crisis-response, it also provides a great team-building opportunity. The Lifeline Accidental Counsellor Workshop is a growing experience for all that also demonstrates your commitment to investing in the welfare and development of your staff.
