"Fun Can Obviously Change Behaviour for the Better"

What is positive psychology? A switch of focus from when things go wrong to when things go right.

Whilst this is traditionally a stream of research in the psychology field, it is also particularly relevant to the workplace, employee motivation and engagement.

So, focusing on positive reinforcement will change behaviour… Need an example? Watch this video from the people at Volkswagen, they run a project called The Fun Theory, where they attempt to change behaviour by adding an element of fun to something which is normally not particularly fun or interesting.

Imagine the impact this could have on disengaged employees. It’s not speculation, it’s science (and it works), it is why reward and recognition programs work.
